Samaesan Part II: Wat Long Por Dam (Black Monk Temple)

Being a small fishing village, there aren't many places you can go in Samaesan. Asking the local Wat Long Por Dam (The Black Monk Temple) is surely one of them.

I am not a devoted Buddhist, but I still make this the first place to go after checking into the resort. As expected, there is nothing special about this temple. Just like most seaside temple in Thailand, Wat Long Por Dam is situated on the top of a small hill nearby the village, anything you can find elsewhere, you can find it here, though the architecture is slightly different owing to its black color facade. But this place is far from boring... I indeed spent a lot a hours here, and come back here the next day afternoon.

You can find some magnificent sea view here. My favorite animal, cats, are everywhere here. Bird-watching lover can also find some their subject without difficulty. The best thing is a road side stall here selling Chinese grass jelly drinks, it is hard to believe that it is one of the best I can find in Thailand.
